Doing Things Differently: our tough choices for health and care in Wales 2021 and beyond

Mae’r cynnwys hwn wedi dod o wefan allanol ac mae ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig.

This event is part of a series of engagement events to discuss the tough choices facing health and care in Wales as it responds and recovers from COVID-19

This first session will launch the series and set out the context of the challenges ahead for health and care in Wales as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also look at the wider picture, outside of the NHS itself, that is having a big impact on population health and wellbeing including; unemployment, poverty, inequality, social care and mental health.

This will look to draw out where we are now, what are the big ticket challenges, what decisions will need to be made and how we will need to do things differently.

It will consider key questions including:

  • What are the tough choices we will need to make in responding, recovering and refocusing from COVID?
  • How can we support the most vulnerable in communities and address needs in rural and urban communities?
  • How will we manage the mental health impacts of COVID on the population (including health and care staff)?
  • How can we all work better together (organisations, communities and the public) to pool our knowledge, skills and resources to find a way forward?
  • So what do you see are the top three things that we will need to do differently?
