The UK Public Health Science Conference invites abstract submissions for its annual gathering in Cardiff. This conference highlights innovative public health research from across the UK and Ireland, with selected submissions published online by The Lancet.

Researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and individuals with lived experience are encouraged to attend. The conference will foster discussion on contemporary public health challenges and their impact on practice, policy, health services, and research.

Abstracts are welcomed from all sectors and disciplines engaged in public health within the UK or Ireland. Submissions from the NHS, local authorities, charities, government bodies, universities, and other research institutions are encouraged. This cross-sectoral approach promotes a dynamic exchange of knowledge and perspectives.

Conference Themes:

In addition to its overarching focus on public health science, this year's conference will examine the relationship between healthy neighbourhoods, the built environment, and public health. Submissions exploring evidence-based interventions and policies related to the physical aspects of neighbourhoods, air quality, noise pollution reduction, and the mitigation of environmental stressors are particularly welcome. The conference aims to stimulate dialogue and inform initiatives that promote healthier communities and address the impact of environmental pollutants on population health.

This conference is being run by the National Institute for Health and Social Care Research if you have any questions, please contact the event team.
