Join PEDAL and the First 1001 Days Movement for a fascinating lunchtime panel considering how to ensure our youngest children and their families receive the most appropriate, timely and effective intervention to support their health and development. The event will begin with two presentations on the latest research from trials of interventions in the UK, followed by a panel discussion at which we hope you will join leading voices in the field to consider important questions about the delivery of services for children and families.

You will hear from Professor Mike Robling (Director of Population Health Trials, University of Cardiff) and Professor Paul Ramchandani (LEGO Professor of Play, University of Cambridge), about two early intervention studies, which will be followed by a panel discussion with esteemed experts from both governmental, educational, medical, and NGO backgrounds.

Speakers

Mike Robling (Centre for Trials Research, Cardiff University) will be sharing with us about the long-term outcomes following the Family Nurse Partnership study. He has been leading the research programme evaluating the Family Nurse Partnership specialist home-visiting programme in England and Scotland since 2008.

Paul Ramchandani's (University of Cambridge) talk titled “New findings on the use of Video Feedback Parenting interventions (ViPP) for young children at risk of behavioural difficulties” will be reviewing new evidence from the Healthy Start Happy Start trial.
