This one-hour webinar from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), will explain the nature and role of practitioner mindlines, to help researchers understand how to mobilise knowledge in a practice context.
It will be presented by Andrée le May and John Gabbay, Professors Emeriti at Southampton University, who were until recently the joint Implementation Leads for the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England.
Andrée and John will explain how the 'mindlines model' helps to engage practitioners effectively in the implementation of research findings by bringing key people together in communities of practice and helping them to reflect on how the findings fit with their experience. Besides practitioners and researchers, this usually also involves patients, carers, managers and policy makers.
This process helps them develop a realistic, relational approach to knowledge mobilisation by sharing and critiquing their varied insights, which can be collectively adapted to implement research evidence in conjunction with other types of knowledge.
Attend this webinar to:
- understand the mindlines model
- discover the principles of this relational approach to knowledge mobilisation
- find out how to undertake this type of work.
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions at the end of the presentation.
