European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) Early-Career Researchers' Conference

In its fourth edition, this virtual conference has become a must-attend for early career researchers looking for a fresh look at critical aspects that a scientist must face during a career in cancer research.

Following the spirit of the conference, the 2024 edition will cover the burning questions of young scientists, with plenty of chances to turn on your camera and mic and speak directly with the experts.  

The programme is tailored for scientists that are transitioning from their PhD or postdoc and wishing to know more about the future ahead and the options available in academia and beyond.

  • Leadership - personal growth and development leading to becoming your own leader 
  • Making your research translatable, in particular the example of the National Brain Metastasis Network (or RENACER, its acronym in Spanish)
  • How to build a bridge between academia and industry, and what are the strengths and weaknesses of the two worlds 
  • Grant writing
  • Sustainability in science
  • How to promote creativity and diversity in science
  • Your brand as a scientist, including the use of social media in science
