The Wales Cancer Research Centre are pleased to invite you to register for the Wales Cancer Research Conference 2025.
The conference is being organised by the Wales Cancer Research Centre (WCRC) as an opportunity for cancer researchers and patient and public involvement representatives in Wales to convene across specialties, institutions and research areas. With speakers from Wales and the UK, presentations will cover hot topics and recent advances in cancer research.
Researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts to share their work with the wider community, either as an abstract, poster or oral presentation.
Abstract submission for this conference is open to researchers based in Wales. Abstracts must contain research relevant to cancer, which may be:
- Original research data collected by the author(s)
- Secondary research conducted with a clear methodology, e.g. meta-analysis, systematic review, analysis of data sets
- Background and methods for cancer trials in progress or other cancer research initiated in the past year.
Abstracts may be submitted in English or Welsh.
You may be a lead author or co-author on more than one abstract.
When using abbreviations within the body of the abstract, please spell out the name in full at first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parentheses.
If referring to clinical trials, please include the trial registration number. Ahead of submission, it is the responsibility of the submitting author:
- To obtain approval from all co-authors
- To obtain approval from other project stakeholders as relevant
- To ensure abstract text does not contain any typographical or grammatical errors.
Abstract submission closing date: 12:00 Friday 10 January 2025
