Autism from menstruation to menopause Study

Dr Aimee Grant, Senior Lecturer in Public Health at Swansea University is leading the Autism from Menstruation to Menopause study. This 10 year long study is inviting autistic people who are going through menopause to take part and share your experiences. 

The research team is looking for people who can say yes to all of these:

  • are autistic.
  • live in the UK and will live here for the next 5 years.
  • are aged over 16 and having menopause symptoms.
  • are happy to talk to us about topics like periods, the menopause, sexual health, growing up and talking to doctors.

And can say yes to at least one of these:

  • from an ethnic minority
  • have not had children
  • have a learning disability (different to things like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia or ADHD)

What they mean by learning disability:

Difficulties with:

  • understanding new or complex information
  • education or learning new skills
  • independent living
