Organised and led by Professor Aled Rees, School of Medicine, Cardiff University and UK charity Verity and together with a diverse team of patients, professionals and patient organisations (CystersEndo and PCOS Society, University of GlasgowFair Treatment for the Women of Wales (FTWW) and PCOS Vitality), this initiative brings together patients, families and healthcare professionals in a process where all voices have equal value.

The aim of the partnership is to identify the top 10 most important questions in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) for research to answer. To do that, they need as many people as possible who are living with PCOS and people who provide healthcare and support for PCOS to share their ideas.

This survey is round two. In round one (January-March 2025), people living with PCOS and people who support them and/or provide healthcare for PCOS in the UK identified the questions they would most like to be answered.

Now in round two, the team would like people to rank the research questions submitted in round one to help create a shortlist of the summary questions considered most important for future research to answer. The final Top 10 priorities will be decided in a workshop at the end of the year and the teams hopes they will be used by individuals and organisations to decide which research projects should receive funding in the future.
