Researchers from Swansea University need your help with exploring how well people can remember events they experienced in their lives.
You can take part if you:
- are above 50 years of age
- are fluent in English
- have unimpaired or appropriately adjusted vision and hearing
- have good physical health (you will sometimes have to press a keyboard button as quickly as possible)
- have no psychological conditions such as clinical depression and no clinical diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment or dementia
This study consists of several tasks related to memory and you can complete it at home on your computer:
- You will be asked about your memories of events you experienced during a specific period of your life
- You will be asked to predict your performance on the task before you perform it
- You will be asked evaluate how well you performed the task after you have completed it
All the tasks are explained before proceeding and you can take breaks between task.
If you need more details, or you would like to carry out the study in person at the Singleton Campus you can email Fabien Carreras.
