The Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research (CADR) has some volunteer opportunities to join the CADR Intergenerational Practice Steering Group to help develop intergenerational practice in Wales.
CADR is seeking members who can provide leadership and advice to support the development and growth of intergenerational practice in Wales. Knowledge and experience in some of the following areas are needed:
- Finance and business management
- Non-profit organisation formation and governance models
- Legal practice
- Sustainable funding opportunities
- Welsh government policy
It is anticipated that membership of the steering board will not exceed 12 months. Monthly meetings will be held online, or where feasible in-person. Members will be responsible for the delivery of realistic actions within an agreed time frame.
The purpose of the steering board is to provide a clear vision for sustainable intergenerational practice in Wales. The goals are to:
- Bring together knowledge from diverse sectors and professional backgrounds to support sustainable practice.
- To prepare the business case and strategy for intergenerational practice.
- Decide upon, and take the necessary actions, to establish a structure that is financially and operationally sustainable
If you would like an informal conversation about how your experiences and expertise may contribute to the steering group objectives, please contact Mirain Llwyd Roberts.
To apply, send your expression of interest of interest briefly outlining why you are interested in being part of the steering group and your relevant skills and experience to Catrin Hedd Jones.
Deadline: 19 January 2024
