MyMelanoma is an online research study run by the University of Oxford, which aims to create the largest collection of melanoma patient data ever. This research bank will be fundamental in facilitating and inspiring future studies to help melanoma patients around the world.
MyMelanoma is open to anyone above 16 years of age who has been treated in the NHS at any time for melanoma of the skin, melanoma under or around a nail, or melanoma on genital or mucosal surfaces. Additionally, the study is open to family members of participants, where a melanoma participant with reported evidence of a familial tendency to melanoma has invited that person to consider participation.
You are be invited to complete two questionnaires which should take around 45 minutes. You will be asked a wide range of questions, including demographics (age, height, weight, hair and eye colour and more) then details of your melanoma, information about your lifestyle and overall health as well as some information on your family history.
For more information on how to register visit the MyMelanoma study website.
Contact the study team via email should you have any questions.
The team is currently unable to accept patients that have been treated solely for melanoma of the eye, those who do not have access to an email account, computer/tablet/smartphone and internet connection, or patients who do not understand English or Welsh.
