Premiere screening of videos made by older people

In 2021, groups of older people from Canada, Jordan and Togo were involved in a project to ensure their voices were prominent from the start of the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030). This project used the participatory video methodology to meaningfully engage with older people and their lived experience, perspectives and expertise to find solutions to problems that matter to them.

The project’s first stage resulted in three community-made films from each site, capturing lessons learned from the process. Finally, they are ready to share the final films with a broader audience on. There will be live interpretation in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish.
